UIL December 2010
Oliver Elementary students participated in the Elementary UIL Academic Meet in Albany on Thursday, December 9. As a school, Oliver finished 2nd behind Haskell. As individuals and teams, the students brought home many medals and ribbons, placing in the top 6 in their event. Those placing are as follows:

3rd Grade: Spelling—3rd TEAM; Music Memory—3rd TEAM; Oral Reading—Peyton Bevel, 6th.
2nd Grade: Creative Writing—Storey Gomez, 4th, Marcus Gonzales, 5th, Brett Patterson, 6th.

Theasa Lefevre served as UIL coordinator, as she has for many years at Oliver. Unfortunately, Ms. Lefevre is leaving at semester, and will be greatly missed next year.
