You have entered the Bulldog Nation! Welcome. It is the goal of every employee of Stamford High School to be proactive in not only the student's educational needs, but also to aide the parent in preparing their child for a successful adult life. Through a designed high school and college-based curriculum along with a positive character education program, students will have the opportunity to grow in the areas of knowledge and moral values. Teaching Your Student to Drive
Most parents are deciding to teach their student "Drivers Ed". Let me give you some help in doing so with two options for you to pick from.

Option #1
1. Go to either Anson DMV or Haskell DMV and fill out an application. It usually costs somewhere around $10. You will receive a packet in the mail. (Call the DMV before going over because they are only open specific days of the week and limited hours. Anson DMV: 823-2437, Haskell DMV: 940-964-2448.)

2. Student will need to follow packet and study/complete modules (you can download modules free from the Internet website provided in packet). You will be given a specific time frame to complete. Parent will keep log provided in packet. You will then schedule a time with DMV to go and take a written test. You will have to turn in signed papers provided in the packet, including verification of enrollment. Mrs. McKee can help fill out the verification of enrollment. You will need a certified copy of your Birth Certificate. Be sure to follow time frame. If you do not, you might have to start all over and apply again. If you pass the written test, you will then receive a temporary Driver's Permit.

3. After passing the written test, you will have 6 months to complete the driving requirements. Parent will be responsible for keeping a log of driving hours. The log is provided in the packet. Return to DMV after completing 6 months of driving to get official Driver's License. You will need to take another Verification of Enrollment and your driving log.
